Wind, rain, snow, sleet, extreme heat … nothing prevents us from holding an open house! Talk about dedication! Today we will be at 4174 Ramona Drive in the historical Wood Streets neighborhood in Riverside, California.

How-To-Garden Tour

Today, Sunday, April 17th, from 11 am to 5 pm, come on out to the historical “Wood Streets” neighborhood to marvel over six private gardens that demonstrate sustainable gardening techniques including edible landscaping, composting, drip irrigation, and water-efficient landscaping including many native plants. A local expert will be available at each garden to answer visitors’ questions.
A donation of $5 will help fund local community garden projects. The Wood Streets Green Team supports the use of bicycles and other forms of alternative transportation during the tour.
All are welcome to attend — no RSVP necessary!

Easter Egg-stravaganza

Come on down to Main Street, between University and 5th Street on Saturday, April 16th, from noon to 4:00 p.m. for an Easter egg hunt, Easter egg contest with prizes, face painting, Easter Bunny and photo ops, live entertainment, shopping and dining, and more!
Easter egg contest rules: Hop into a downtown business to collect your Easter egg (one per family, per business). One Easter egg at each business will contain a special prize. Get that prize and have the opportunity to register for the GRAND PRIZE! Must be present to win. Announcement of winner will be awarded at the close of event at 4 p.m. at the RDP booth(Riverside Downtown Partnership) on Main between Mission Inn and 6th Street.

6th Annual Salute to Veterans Parade

Please join the Inland Empire in honoring all veterans at the 6th Annual Salute to Veterans Parade on Saturday, April 16th, at 10 a.m. The parade route: Magnolia and Ramona (RCC) to Market and 10th, to the Historic Riverside County Courthouse on Main Street.
Spectator Pre-Parade Parking: Use the RCC parking structure to park and walk down to the lower parking lot to see the parade entries in the staging area. Staging is very congested starting very early on the morning of April 16th. You are welcome to come and view the entries prior to the parade, and even take part in the pancake breakfast (put on by the Civil Air Patrol).
